Below are a few CTMAX case studies. Each is about 10 minutes long.
Case Study – Maxillofacial Reconstruction
Ralph Fiore had part of his jaw removed during a battle with throat cancer, and his facial appearance post-surgery was shocking to both himself and his family. One year after the operation, his oncologist recommended Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons. The results were spectacular. “I felt Dr. Galbraith was looking at me as a person, as someone he could do something for rather than using me as a test case or as an experiment,” Ralph declared after his successful surgery. “Out of the places that I checked out, he’s the one I felt more comfortable with.”
Case Study – Orthognathic Surgery
Kevin Sack and Veronica King are both teenagers who faced maxillofacial hardship. A congenital condition caused severe under-bite for Kevin, and a crossbite caused Veronica’s chin to be overly pronounced, making braces a necessity. Kevin’s father contacted acquaintances at several medical centers and was recommended to Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons. Both Kevin and Veronica underwent surgery at CMS with wonderful results. “She has a beautiful smile now,” says Elsie King, Veronica’s mother, “and she likes to smile.”
Case Study – Maxillofacial Trauma
Tina Bolognese was in an awful car crash in her senior year. After coming out of intensive care, Tina scheduled reconstructive surgery with Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons, hoping for the best. Using Tina’s senior picture proofs, the doctors of CMS flawlessly restored function and appearance to Tina’s fractured face. “These doctors did a phenomenal job,” said Tina’s father. “We trusted them, and they gave us the best gift: They gave us our daughter back.”
Case Study – Temporomandibular Joint Disease
Amy Saltonstall began to notice a clicking in her jaw, and discovered that she suffered from Temporomandibular Joint Disease. Despite her love for her home city, Boston, Amy traveled to Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons for treatment after a recommendation from a relative. Amy was not fond of the idea of surgery, but after a year of suffering decided it was the only option. Her surgery went so well that she began to advocate surgery for friends and colleagues with TMD, knowing that they didn’t have to suffer when such good surgeons were only two hours away.
Case Study – Dental Implants
Ed Blue discovered that something was amiss in his mouth after falling from a ladder. Dr. Ian Tingey of Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons performed a biopsy to find a malignant growth, and Ed went into cancer treatments. Before the cancer went into remission, it took out seven of Ed’s teeth, and he experienced several problems getting fitted for dentures. Once Dr. Tingey was convinced that the cancer was in remission, he reconstructed Ed’s teeth. “If it weren’t for Dr. Tingey doing his work and knowing what he was doing, I would not be here today,” claimed Ed.
