Bill was born in Ludlow, Massachusetts and was raised throughout most of his young adult life in Wilbraham, Massachusetts where he attended Minnechaug High School. He went on to attend Dartmouth College where he obtained the A.B. degree in 1965. Upon completing college Bill moved on to his professional career when he attended the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, graduating in 1970 with the D.M.D. degree.

Bill completed his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery by attending a residency at Hartford Hospital which he finished in 1973. His practice career began in the United States Air Force where he reached the rank of Major as a member of our Countryıs Dental Corps as chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, ME. Bill entered private practice in July of 1975, and from that point forward has worked in the private medical and dental community of Northern Connecticut in a practice limited to the practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

He is currently a partner and manager of Connecticut Maxillofacial Surgeons, L.L.C. Dr. Marco has served on the Operating Room Committee at Hartford Hospital for nearly ten years along with acting as an integral member of the resident teaching staff. He has received one of the highest honors in our profession by having served a full six year term on the Advisory Committee of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons where he also acted as a Co-Chairman for the Section on Anesthesia and Medicine.

As a pastime Bill enjoys a home on Nantucket where he and his wife Joan go to escape the rigors of practice and enjoy the ocean. Bill and Joan have a daughter Judy, son-in-law Simon and grandson Christopher.
